Birmingham International Airport
Known on the luggage tags as ‘BHX’, Birmingham International has
seen the sharpest rise in passengers of any UK airport. Its
popularity doesn’t end there, as in 2006 it was voted ‘Best Airport
in Europe’ in its category. Pleased to be a part of history,
Birmingham wished a teary farewell to Concorde during her 2003
final tour. And taking its place as part of the future, the
airport’s expansion plans include a runway extension to be ready in
time for the 2012 Olympics.
